NEW INTERNATIONAL FOCUS LAW FIRM OPENS IN PHOENIX
PHOENIX, Feb. 9, 2015—Apfel and Associates, a new law firm focusing on International law, has opened an office in Phoenix. Matthew Apfel and Angelo Torrealba, the two primary counsels, have practiced law in the U.S., Australia, China, Europe and South America. They decided to open this office because of the changing nature of international business needs in the Valley.

Matthew Apfel specializes in public international law, international arbitration and investment disputes and business transactions, and civil suits against foreign sovereign states in domestic court. In a recent case, Apfel was the international specialist on a team that represented individual marines suing Iran as a result of the Beirut barracks bombing.
Angelo Torrealba also focuses on international issues. He is a well-known immigration specialist and a human rights advocate, especially for the Latin-American community.
