NEW YORK/CHICAGO, Nov. 15, 2012—For LOT Polish Airlines, the dream became a reality today when the carrier became the first European carrier to take delivery of the Dreamliner. LOT flew its first Dreamliner to Warsaw after a delivery ceremony in Seattle and the aircraft landed at Warsaw’s Chopin Airport at 10:51 a.m. local time and was greeted with a traditional water salute.
LOT’s Dreamliner flights will be operated in the US and Canada to Warsaw beginning Jan. 16 from Chicago, Feb. 1 from Toronto and Feb. 3 from New York City. The first LOT Dreamliner flight will begin on Dec. 14 from Warsaw to Prague. Over the next eight months, there are more European cities scheduled for Dreamliner short haul flights including Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Hanover, Kiev, Budapest and Brussels.

In preparation for the delivery of the B-787 Dreamliner, LOT Polish Airlines created an elite team of flight attendants to cater to the needs of passengers in all three cabins–business class called Elite Club features fully flat beds with ottomans, a 180°recline, over 10 inch screens, and power and USB ports at each seat; Premium economy called Premium Club offers a separate cabin with seats that recline 132° with power and USB ports in each seat. In economy class there are seat-back video screens at every seat.
